     Moses Ferris was born on 12 July 1834 at New Mills Parish, Tyrone, Ireland. He married Margaret Barris, daughter of Robert Barris and Mary Jane Wade, on 22 May 1860 at Dungannon, Tyrone, Ireland. Moses Ferris died on 18 August 1886 at Lowell, Middlesex, Mass, at age 52.1 He was buried on 20 August 1886 at Edson Cemetery Lowell, Middlesex, Mass; Flush stone between monuments for Tilton and Braden.2,3

     Arriving at the Port of New York, NY on 15 September 1879, Margaret and Moses Ferris and their chidren emigrated from Scotland on the SS Circassia, 4271 tons. They were passengers numbered 221 and 222.4
Moses Ferris left a will on 13 August 1886 at Lowell, Middlesex, Mass.
On 9 April 1889, Moses' estate was probated at The Probate Court, Cambridge, Middlesex, Mass.
Moses Ferris and Thomas Ferris were brothers. Their wives were sisters.
